I always thought September and October are perfect months for a short-haul holiday somewhere where it’s still warm and hopefully within a three-hour flight distance of the UK .
That’s why I love Spain so much , Marbella being one of my hot favourites and Puente Romano – my preferred hotel.

Puente Romano resort is conveniently located just 45 minutes from Málaga International Airport and is perfectly situated on the beachfront of the Golden Mile Costa del Sol.
This hotel beats the service and the facilities of many small boutique hotels. I first came here with my family in 2015 and each year the hotel just gets better and better, showing so much love and dedication that they keep me coming back.
Because of its amazing location the hotel boasts some spectacular sea views and direct access to the beach for its guests.
The resort is so large I would say there is something for everyone – from an outstanding Six Senses spa, twelve restaurants including several fine dining options, VIP nightclub, golf, tennis, and a wide array of water activities.
The setting of the hotel is also very beautiful, surrounded by botanical gardens with fountains, streams and waterfalls, and the whole complex is built like an Andalucian village.
The rooms are well scattered throughout the resort to give couples seclusion from families. There are three heated pools, my favourite being the beach pool, right next to the Sea Grill restaurant, providing lovely views across the Mediterranean.
So, whether you’re after a romantic getaway for two, or an action-packed trip with the kids in tow, this truly enchanting resort is sure to tick all the boxes.
