Roberta London is a luxury label that offers up-to-the-minute pieces that are both sustainably produced and reasonably priced. Helmed by Roberta Rocha, the Brazil-born beauty has followed an exciting career across the globe, on a path that spans multiple industries – from assisting fashion stylists at just age 15, to an international journalism career that took her across Africa and the Middle East. Roberta finally settled in London, where she began selling some of her favourite brands before launching her eponymous label.
Her collections include cosy sweats, bold mixed-print tracksuits, furry accessories and super snug fur-lined parkas. Expect plenty of luxurious materials like shimmering jacquards as well as her signature fabrication – eco-fur. Roberta London has partnered with a faux fur manufacturer that also supplies the likes of Gucci and Louis Vuitton.
Growing up in Brazil, Roberta says consumers there are perhaps more aware of the environmental dangers incited by fast-fashion as certain resources aren’t as readily available as they are in the West. With fashion now rated the second most polluting industry on Earth, Roberta hopes to assist in a global change in the right direction. “It is not about living perfectly, she told Ocean Generation, “it is about choosing your priorities.”
