Manège en Sucre

Manège en Sucre is a luxury girlswear brand created by entrepreneurial mum-of-two Marine Lloris. Aimed at girls aged 2-12 years, the collections are made in London with unique textures and fabrications sourced from textile mills in the UK, France and Italy.

The mother of two little girls, Anna-Rose and Giuliana, Marine is also the wife of Tottenham Hotspur captain and goalkeeper Hugo Lloris – the same man responsible for leading the French national team to World Cup victory this year.

I had the pleasure of meeting Marine myself recently, and I can assure you that she is anything but a wallflower. She holds Masters Degrees in both Social Psychology and Human Resource Management, and she plays an integral role in designing each collection – from the initial sketches, through to the selection of materials and the marketing of the end product.

Of course Marine uses her own children as inspiration, constantly observing their input about what exactly they would like to be wearing. When she creates a new shape she’ll almost always wear-test the garment on her daughters first, letting them comment on style and comfort throughout the process. The kids will also model the clothes for their daddy, she tells us.

“My girls are my muses,” says Marine. “They are very honest about the dresses and are always giving me feedback about how to make them even more special. It was when I had my girls that I found the perfect opportunity to channel my passion for creativity with my love of fashion.”

The pieces in Marine’s collections are adorably playful – a cheerful mix of classic shapes and modern design lines that are sure to attract the youthful eye. Unsurprisingly the brand has already been featured in publications such as Vogue, Gala Magazine and FQ magazine. You can currently purchase Manège en Sucre at Harvey Nichols (online and in the London and Manchester stores), as well as through its own website www.manege-en-sucre.com
