Issey Miyake

In fashion there is always something for everyone. In Miyake you will find simplicity and at the same time immaculate composition. Issey Miyake, Japanese born and raised , designs a garment to fit the human body , to feel comfortable and organic to lifestyle. With the view of a traditional style kimono, his garments are made to be loose fitting and often with several layers to create the illusion of structure and technology-driven designs.

His latest Fall-Winter collection is futuristic looking. Bold colours of purple and red , spirograph prints and geometric designs will get you noticed alright! However , my favourite is still his “Pleats Please” collection. Although their very simple designs are unchangeable ( though some new colours or patterns get added each season) you can never get tired of it .

The clothes are adoptable to almost any look ; wear it as a dress or a shirt or as a combination of trousers and a kaftan. Wrapped in a silky cocoon of black, white and aqua blue Nadia brought my imagination to live. The gold Herve Van Der Straeten necklace, which deserves a whole article of its own, was added to complete the nature-inspired architectural masterpiece.
