Founded in 2002 , Ayesha Depala is a well known Dubai-based, Indian born, fashion designer. The brand is foremost recognised for its beautiful couture collection and bespoke gowns, and has since evolved and developed to include a ready-to-wear line.

Ayesha explains: “My couture footprint has been very important and was carried over into my ready-to-wear line. I wanted to create something that was ready available for everyone to wear, designs which embody wellness and tranquillity and carry some elements of where I come from and my heritage.”
This really shines through in her latest collection with effortless vacation staples realised in white and muted hues. It waves traditional craftsmanship, with a modern, free spirited philosophy to create beautiful pieces which act as modern heirlooms. Expect loose kaftans, blouses with intricate embroidery and lace, sheer draped harem pants in flowy chiffon material and more. All her designs evoke a sense of freedom and romanticism with fabrics carefully chosen to feel great to the skin – each piece breathable, hypoallergenic and biodegradable.

Ayesha is devoted to ensuring that her ready-to-wear collection is ethical and sustainable. She has gone to great lengths to source materials which give back to the community without compromising on quality. She uses fabrics sourced from certified organic suppliers in India, where the production process uses the likes of rose petals, aloe vera and eucalyptus. Silks are of the Ahimsa variety, which is produced without harming or killing the silkworms. Garment labels are made of seed paper and fabrics are air-dried to reduce the carbon footprint.
