Annalisa Caricato

The wonderfully whimsical designs of Annalisa Caricato are an eclectic mix of organic themes, playful colour combinations and the finest luxury materials. Annalisa cut her teeth as a Senior Designer for major players like Dolce & Gabbana, Salvatore Ferragamo and Valentino, before branching out on her own to become a freelance leather goods designer for labels like Guess, Emanuel Ungaro and Bulgari. Anna Caricato is the seasoned accessory designer’s first project as an independent designer, and it’s created entirely out of her native Italy.

Her extensive experience and unparalleled eye for inspiration has led to a line of totally unique bags and purses that are quite unlike anything we’ve seen before. Her SS18 lookbook plays on summertime motifs like an elaborate beach scene created from soft leather, complete with ocean flora and fauna; or her garden party purse featuring a watering can showering three-dimensional flowers that cascade from the dainty handbag’s panels.

FW18 continues with the light-hearted imagery, but the palette shifts into more autumnal tones. An earthy-coloured purse explodes with intricate mahogany butterflies bursting from its immaculate stitches, while other bags and wallets include an assortment of exotic materials and motifs like lovehearts, birds and lots of boldly hued feathers bursting forth.
