Gucci

Gucci-Oh- My- Gucci!  Its like walking into a candy shop and your eyes are quickly wondering from the one shelf to the next and next and next. Alessandro Michele, the new creative director of Gucci, is the Willy Wonka, of the Gucci’s eye feast factory. His Fall Winter 2016 collection is definitely yummy. He smoothly adopts the same vibrant colours, sparkle and vintage-like prints from Spring-Summer into his Fall-Winter style, only using chunkier knits, warmer textiles and adding exquisite fur and feather detail . His bric-a-brac style and the effortless combination of glamour chic meets geeky teenager in some ways perhaps reflects Alessandro’s own style and mood. In one of his interviews with Vogue , he mentions “My apartment is full of antique pieces, but I put everything together like a modern installation”.

His collection of Meissen pugs, reptile-inspired jewelry and other favorite objects d-arts are all coming to life in beautiful time pieces to cherish this season. Like a little Gollum , a little obsessive and prying on every detail of the design, Alessandro is also not afraid to be over indulgent and exuberating. Masterfully assembling the rich reds, emerald greens and pretty pinks with feminine cuts and school girl silhouettes I am spellbound and definitely want more.
