Loungewear love

While loungewear might be designed exclusively for slugging around at home, some of it looks so good you’ll be itching to wear it out. And with this Spring’s trend towards pyjama-esque shirts and flowing trousers still in full swing, it’s now totally fashionably acceptable to do just that. Here’s our pick of the world’s comfiest, most stylish sleepwear.

For couch to cocktail-party luxury: Piamita

The designers behind Piamita were growing weary of searching for luxury fashion that feels as good to wear as it looks, and that’s exactly why the brand came into being. While their latest collections lean more towards ready-to-wear than nightwear, they maintain the mantra that style should never mean sacrificing comfort.

For the cosiest value for money: Toast

Established in West Wales in 1997, Toast have quite triumphantly progressed from a sleepwear brand into a unique lifestyle brand renowned for their cosy and contemporary designs and their ability to re-energise traditional textiles. Be warned though, their cashmere cardies, flannelette bedding and slouchy pyjama sets make it exceedingly difficult to leave the house when the temperature drops outside.

For slinky silks: Olivia Von Halle

Only making her debut on the market in 2014, Olivia Von Halle has quickly made a name for herself in the world of luxury sleepwear with her exquisite silk pyjama sets and kimonos. Inspired by the 90s nostalgia currently gripping the catwalks, she’s also just branched out into super snuggly, silk-cashmere tracksuits that effortlessly blur the line between loungewear and sportswear.

For the art of seduction: Agent Provocateur

It’s no secret that some nightwear serves a purpose beyond catching Z’s. For naughty nighties, babydolls and slinky robes that are sure to have the object of your affection drooling at your feet, head to Agent Provocateur. The British luxury brand well and truly deserves its position at the top of Britain’s luxury lingerie lists.

For classic cuts: Nufferton

Arriving last to the pyjama party, Nufferton only made their debut last year and have already garnered the attention of fashion influencers from Vogue to Hype Beast. This is in large part due to the fact the Swedish brand’s first collection is entirely unisex. Expect classic PJ patterns and shapes, with slick Scandi tailoring and bold colours that verge on whimsical.
