There’s nothing like a good collab to get the fashion pack drooling in anticipation. We have little doubt that whatever these three super stylish pairings create, it’ll sell-out worldwide.
Alber Elbaz x Converse
During 14 successful years manning the helm of Lanvin, Alber Elbaz’s luxury versions of old-school trainers garnered swathes of celeb fans from Beyoncé to Michelle Obama. Late last year word leaked that Elbaz would be collaborating with Nike-owned sneaker connoisseurs, Converse. A little over a year after leaving Lanvin, the designer is said to have created a limited-edition trainer that will likely debut in the Japanese market. A pairing that’s keeping us on the edge of our seats, we expect nothing short of fashion brilliance when these clandestine Cons are revealed.
Louis Vuitton x Supreme
One of the most talked about collaborations announced last year was that of fashion powerhouse Louis Vuitton and relentlessly cool skateboarding bros, Supreme. Why did the news create such furore? Well, in large part due to its element of surprise, particularly to those familiar with a certain court case 17 years prior. Louis Vuitton sued Supreme in 2000 for unauthorised use of its trademark on their skateboard decks – fast forward a couple decades and you have one of the most anticipated partnerships in years.
“I just feel that the strength of their graphic versus the strength of the Louis Vuitton graphic, and that kind of Pop Art feeling — it works together perfectly,” says LV creative director, Kim Jones. The collection, which includes six handbag styles, jerseys, jackets and accessories, drops July 17th.
Bella Hadid x Chrome Hearts
Model of the moment, Victoria’s Secret Angel and sister to social media superstar Gigi, Bella Hadid has been hinting at an upcoming collaboration with Chrome Hearts for months now. There’s not a ton of info out there about what the collection will entail but she’s dropped sneak peeks on Instagram that include an effortlessly edgy cropped tee and a white patent biker cap. With 8.6 million Instagram followers, we doubt the raven-haired 18-year old will have trouble cashing in on one of the most in-demand collaborations of 2017. Follow the duo’s newly created Instagram platform for updates.
